Chakra Balance Mala #7

This Mala was created to resonate with the chakra system to promote healing, balance, confidence, and joy. Chakra means “wheel of light” in ancient Indian Sanskrit and there are seven major chakras that align with the spine in the human body. The Chakras allow the universal energy of consciousness to move from one frequency to another, spiraling along the spine and throughout the body through the nadis (channels). Each chakra has a specific function and quality and all work together to help us strive  for overall well-being.

The affirmation and mantras for each chakra, beginning with the root chakra after the first bodhi bead, can be chanted during meditation with each corresponding gemstone listed below. The lotus, bodhi beads, onyx bead with inscription (Om Mani Padme Hum), and Sumeru (guru) lotus bead all resonate with the mantra Om Mani Padme Hum (Jewel in the Lotus of the Heart).

Garnet (Red) – Root Chakra – Muladhara

Mantra – I am grounded, stable and protected (Shanti Hum)
Seed Sound – Lam

Carnelian (Orange) – Sacral Chakra – Svadhisthana

Mantra – I am creative, joyful and balanced (Ananda Hum)
Seed Sound – Vam

Tiger’s Eye (Golden Yellow) – Solar Plexus Chakra – Manipura

Mantra – I am confident and manifest my desires (Dharma Hum)
Seed Sound – Ram

Aventurine (Green) – Heart Chakra – Anahata

Mantra – I am love, compassion and gratitude (So Hum)

Lapis Lazuli (Blue) – Throat Chakra – Vishudha
